Welcome to the website for Alpha Epsilon Xi Chapter, Walden University’s Charter Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, The International Honor Society in Education!

As educators we all strive to teach, serve and live a life that enables others to improve their own lives. The purpose of establishing the Walden University chapter of Kappa Delta Pi was to create a special place to continue to support all education majors and those who seek to continue to teach in all content areas as well as to honor those who have made a difference in the lives of their students by improving education. Seeking to provide positive social change is by far the root of all efforts to educate others and providing ongoing opportunities to collaborate with other colleagues from around the world will only inspire others to do the same in our collective efforts to make the world a better place.

We are the future of education and to succeed we need to honor each other, support each other and continue our efforts as lifelong learners by taking the knowledge we have acquired at Walden University and use it to provide ongoing opportunities for professional development and growth in all of our fields of education!

We now look forward to our 3rd, 4th and 5th In-Person Initiations, to take place in May 2010 at the Atlanta, GA Residencies and on July 22, 2010 at the Summer Residencies in Minneapolis, MN:

and

July 24th through August 8th, 2010 for Minnesota Residency Accepted Members who can not attend the In-Person Ceremony and elect for Online Initiation.

Welcoming all of our new initiates will add so much more to our chapter and to the first Chartering Members who were initiated on July 25th, 2009 as well as the second Chartering Members who were initiated on January 21st, 2010.  It was a very exciting time to have President-Elect Dr. Nathan Bond from Kappa Delta Pi present our charter to Dr. Denise DeZolt, Chief Executive Officer of Walden University and Dr. Daniel Salter, Ph.D. Programs Director and our Chapter Counselor.  And it was just as exciting to see our chapter grow through our 2nd Initiation which was held in Dallas, TX and video taped live.  We are tremendously grateful to Walden University for providing the opportunity for our chapter to also be video taped in our 2nd Initiation Ceremony as well as to have several members video taped individually to speak to the passion we all share for improving education efforts for positive social change throughout the world.

Our new AEX Chapter Goal for Membership is to break 500 members by the end of our Chartering Year in July 2010 at our 5th Initiation of our Chartering Year.  Imagine what we all can do together as members of this honor society and international education chapter at Walden University to improve education programs throughout the world!

Please apply for consideration to be honored as a member of Alpha Epsilon Xi, Walden University’s Chartering Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, we would be honored to work with you to continue to improve teaching and learning in all areas of education throughout the globe.

Thank you for being the exceptional educator and student that you are!
Very respectfully yours,
