     AEX CHARTERING YEAR-END CELEBRATION & INITIATION

ALL INITIATES WHO HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED INTO THIS INITIATION CEREMONY WILL BE RECEIVING A LETTER ON SATURDAY, JULY 17TH TO GIVE SPECIFIC PLANNING INFORMATION FOR THE CEREMONY ON

3. HELP WANTED...VOLUNTEER OFFICERS AND MEMBERS NEEDED

We are always looking for volunteers to work on Committees and now also need a NEW Vice President of Programming/Programs.

The AEX Chapter of KDP at Walden University is looking for a
NEW Vice President of Programming
for planning chapter programs in professional development that can be attended by members when they attend a residency chapter meeting, develop programs to be put in writing on our chapter website for others to experience and grow from, develop articles on professional development activities for our members to be hosted in our newsletter, design programs for members to work together on in the new Regions of AEX, develop Webinars for our members, and more.

We have several members who have come forward to express interest in being considered for this officer vacancy and we want to find the right person for the job.

Therefore, we are going to be taking applications for the position from
NOW THROUGH JULY 31ST, 2010. 

Applications require the following 3 letters and Resume/CV:

1. A Copy of your Resume or Curriculum Vita;

2. A Letter of Recommendation from 1 Walden University Faculty Member or Administrator

3. A Letter of Recommendation from 1 Walden University Student who is already a member of the AEX Chapter.

4. A Letter of Interest in the position from the interested member outlining how they believe they are qualified for the position and what they can bring to the position from experience and education.  Give examples of how you would like to complete the following duties of this office:

Vice-President Responsibilities and Duties:
* Develop & Oversee the development of programming for members of the AEX Chapter of KDP
* Put together a committee of AEX Members who will assist you in developing programming to
include:  Professional Development Activities and Articles for the Newsletter, work with the President to complete issues published of the AEX "Legacies in Education" Journal, work with other AEX Officers to produce programs for our residency meetings for our members, develop programming for our members on supporting them in their programs, looking for employment,        improving their teaching and learning, etc.
* Write up AEX Chapter Events News and promote it in the AEX Website

* Develop a Calendar for the Chapter to put on the Website and Email out to Members

* Review Constitution & Bylaw Changes for the Chapter President prior to finalization

* Take the place of the President if this is needed

* Understand and be able to use Robert's Rules of Order for meetings
* Act as the Chair of the Programming Committee and work with your committee to develop AEX Chapter Activities and Events, and more.

4.)  NEW 2011 OFFICER ELECTIONS INFORMATION


In May 2011, we will hold the first full AEX KDP Officer Elections to elect new officers to begin their terms starting just after the KDP 2011 Convocation in Indianapolis, Indiana in the end of October, 2011.

Foundation Representative (Fundraising)

Treasurer
